Vaionic Technologies, a start-up specializing in the development of eMotors and power electronics, is presenting its first concept vehicle, which is based on a VW e-Crafter. At the heart of the e-Crafter is a newly developed, highly efficient eDrive developed by Vaionic.
Ironless Stator Design
Patented air coil design eliminates iron losses and electromagnetic drag losses
Modularity
Modularity brings versatility and cost-efficiency, making the motor more adaptable to evolving needs and requirements
Reduced Material Use
Vaionic iPSM requires no electrical steel and uses significantly lower copper and heavy rare earth content compared to conventional PSMs
Recyclability
Active materials can be easily extracted and reused, further reducing lifecycle CO2 emissions
